Event held to support Obama delegate

Obama Delegate to the Democratic National Convention Dennis Ahern and family are holding a gathering to support his upcoming trip to Denver.

The event will be held at the East End Bolders Club, 3712 4th Ave in Moline this coming Sunday the 18th, from 2 to 6 p.m. Billed as "Food, Fun, Family & Friends", including music and a 50/50 drawing.

The announcement states that donations are not required but greatly appreciated.

It ain't exactly cheap to travel these days, so you might stop by and lend some support to Ahern as he makes the trip to Denver to support our next president.
