Politician's credo?

Just came across this typically brilliant quote from Mark Twain and was struck by how spot on it applies to some politicians I've come to know.
I don't mind what the opposition say of me, so long as they don't tell the truth about me; but when they descend to telling the truth about me, I consider that that is taking an unfair advantage.
Well, Mark, I didn't know that before, but I surely know it now.

The truth about me is stranger than fiction. Telling the truth about me could get you locked up in an asylum.

Ain't that the truth! These guys that support jacobs and the rest here scream like stuck pigs when someone tells the truth about them. Then they whine like babies and throw tantrums and act like little brats.

I hope they enjoy their new blog where they won't speak honestly about anything. But it won't matter because this place will be here anyway.

Good riddance I say
