Four D's and a Mike throw spaghetti feed tomorrow

The heavy duty annual spaghetti-palooza thrown by Denny and Donny Jacobs, Dick Leibovitz, Diana Robinson, and Mike Jacobs is going on tomorrow (Thursday) at the Vikings Club in Moline, 1450 41st Street, from 5 - 8:00 p.m.

The freight is $10 a head, $5 for kids for about a year's dose of spaghetti.

Get your pasta on.

It's gratifying to see that Sen. Jacobs heeded my call to set up a website.

Good to see the post has had some effect.

It is great to see that you Dope has had this influence on Sen. Mike Jacobs. You seem to be a very calming steadying presence for him. I appreciate you getting Jacobs to head the call.
Great job Dope. It is great to see you two great men working together.

I'm not sure "great" is appropriate for either of us... but it is good to see a local politician get a web site together.

When I've said that locals needed web sites, many commented sneering at the very idea and saying I was nuts. I'm sure they'll come back to again say how stupid it is.

Unless of course, .... they'll be silent now.

I think that this new web site for Sen. Jacobs is just the vehicle that he needs to get him over the hump. Great job of getting with Jacobs and moving him into the electronic world.
Great site also!

There are some great photos on this site.

If you're implying I had something to do with Jacobs' website, that's not the case.

I had nothing whatsoever to do with producing it. (other than arguing for local pols to have one on several occasions.)

I'll refrain from offering any comments on its design, but it's obviously not my work.

I doubt the website will have any effect on the coming election whatsoever. I don't think Jacobs had any "hump" to begin with.

The only way Jacobs could lose if if he was caught with a dead girl or a live boy.

And since he seems to have finally settled down and lost some of his compulsion to grandstand and make grandiose statements, it's unlikely he'll screw up his chances.

Rather than being added to the already huge Jacobs war chest, it would be nice if some of the proceeds were put towards the two closest Dem races, Boland and Wright.
Am I wrong to doubt a penny will find it's way to those critical races?

Mike Jacobs has donated to Mike Boland. Something Boland has b=never done in reverse.

At ten dollars a head for Franks Pizza spagetti I don't believe that there was much money made. I believe that the event that had over 600 people is an event to get people out and excited about this tuesday.

Sen. Mike Jacobs gave Vicky Wright $600 and Mike Boland $350, and he didn't even get a scholarship!

For $350? Maybe a scholarship to Western Florida University, but that's a little steep.
