Working Assets a great way to support worthy causes.

Working Assets is a unique company offering long distance and mobile phone service, as well as a credit card. Why is that unique? Well, Working Assets supports progressive causes through it's business model.
And if getting a free pint of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream every month weren't enough incentive to join, the fact that it's a great way to put your money where it makes a difference should be.

Working Assets has taken traditional business models and integrated them with a means for people to contribute to socially and politically responsible causes. If enough people take advantage of this, it can truly make a difference, and it's a painless way to support worthy causes while getting the same or better service than you're currently getting. You can continue to send money to your current phone service providers and credit card companies, who likely donate large amounts to conservatives and their causes, or get just as good service for just as good rates, and help support progressive causes in the process.

Their services are excellent and their rates are more than competitive with others offering the same services. In addition, customers are able to round up their monthly bills and donate the difference to a variety of causes and groups. I've been using their long distance service for over a year with no complaints.

Their affiliate, Act for Change provides a one stop web site for activists and interested people to stay abreast of current happenings and ways they can take action on a variety of issues. One of my favorite things about the site is that it features the Tom Tomorrow series of editorial cartoons.

Please give Working Assets and Act For Change a look. Put your money to work, you'll be glad you did.

(The Inside Dope has no affiliation with Working Assets. I just think it's a great idea.)
