Meet the Press

If anyone sees this in time, Meet the Press is being rebroadcast on MSNBC.

I caught it this morning and it's a real doozy. Listen to chinless wonder Ken Mehlman try to dodge and weave and weasel his way through the Rove story while trying to turn the tables around. It just fails miserably and he ends up looking like a moron. John Podesta steals his lunch and hits him in the face with it.

Woodweird and Bernstein are also on discussing confidential sources, Deep Throat, and other stuff.

I tried to link to the transcripts, but evidently MSNBC no longer makes them available on their site. You can however view sections of the show on streaming video here.

Yes saw it early in the am. I hope the duo will continue going around the circuit to talk about their experiences as investigative journalists.

Too many have forgotten what the abuse of power can yield thou it is now under their very noses today.

maybe Woodward and Berstein should teach the main stream reporters CNN,ABC,NBC how to investigate a story[never mind FOX they are the Republican party]
But when I turn on my cable at night on FOX I get the Republican talikung points on Karl Rove, the War on Terror, and the missing girl in Aruba.
CNN will start out with a story on Scuba diving, second story in about some health issue and finally some mention about Rove and by the way 100 people were killed by carbombs in Iraq.
The first two stories look like something they could have pulled off the internet.
Can't the FCC institute that to have truly free speech that we need at least one network to do investigative journalisim.

RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman earned his big salary on Meet the Press.
The 30-something attorney and Bush zealot's performance was a GOP masterpiece and proof of why the GOP is better at going negative than are Dems. Mehlman had the nerve to ask for apologies from John Kerry and Hillary Clinton and others in the media for "smearing" Karl Rove. This comes from the party of Karl Rove, which made mince meat of John Kerry's heroic service to our nation. This from the the party that mastered the politics of smear and fear during their assaults on John Kerry's service to the nation during Vietnam.

But there was Mehlman, calm and cool and on the attack the entire interview. They have no shame, they have no guilt, which makes them great political consultants in the worst way.
