Leader of the free world

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people.

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

-- H.L. Mencken
(1880 - 1956)

"I believe we are called to do the hard work to make our communities and quality of life a better place."

Bush — Collinsville, IL, Jan. 5, 2005

"First, let me make it very clear, poor people aren't necessarily killers. Just because you happen to be not rich doesn't mean you're willing to kill."

—Washington, D.C., May 19, 2003

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

—Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004

"We gotta issue in Amer-ca. Too many good docs are getting outta business. Too many OB/GYN's aren't able to practice their love with women all across the country." [Huge cheers of agreement from the crowd]

— Poplar Bluff, Mo, Sept. 6, 2004

Now that IS an outrage. Just imagine, OB/GYNS forced to limit their love practicing to only women in their particular region of the country. (Though one wonders how much longer they're going to have to "practice" until they get the hang of it.)

You'll laugh, you'll cry... more Bushisms here.

And the critics said that Kerry couldn't communicate clearly?!

Bush communicates perfectly to the Rush Limbaugh crowd and don't doubt it, Dope.

No, you're wrong. LIMBAUGH communicates perfectly to the troglodytes on the right. Bush is incomprehensible.

But fortunately, the right has it's Mighty Wurlitzer constantly blaring 24/7 it's coordinated message. A blast fax emits from the RNC in the morning, and by nightfall you can hear exact phrases and words from it falling from the lips of a veritable army of talk-radio loons, paid party hacks, Republican pols, and cable news hosts.

Under such onslaught, those sucepable to suggestion and fearful of actually using their own minds end up thinking Bush walks on water. They don't even LISTEN to what he says. It doesn't matter. (Listen to the cheers after he says it's terrible that gynocologists can't practice their love with women)

They defend the indefensible against rock solid evidence. Once they drink the Kool-ade, they're gonners.

Bush is our national embarrassment before the world.
