Tech note

Several readers reported that The Inside Dope page was very sluggish to load for most of the day Thursday and that the comments window would hang or not open at all. The Dope encountered this problem for a time and then just said to hell with it.

Other sites experienced this problem as well. Things had returned to normal by late evening. This was apparently due to problems with Blogger's servers and beyond the Dope's control. Sorry for any frustration. This will hopefully be a rare occurrence.
