Let me say this about that

Not a lot going on, and I'm still swamped with other business.

Here's an open thread for you to discuss anything that's on your mind.

Not a lot going on?

You have the political game of the Democrats with an artificial date of pulling out of Iraq, rather than having the backbone to just not fund the war.

You have Al Gore and Global Warming getting seriously questions tomorrow night, on Headline News (a CNN network so liberals cannot give the normal cry of - FOX News is biased!).

So...do you have the backbone to watch CNN-Headline News 7:00 pm - Wednesday?

Now you need "backbone" to watch some cable news channel?

I guess some of the infotainment requires a strong stomach, but please.

Good luck supporting the failed policies of the Republican right.

Just click your heels together three times and repeat, "George Bush is a great leader, George Bush is a great leader...."

And remember, reality bad, propaganda good.

DO YOU HAVE THE BACKBONE TO HEAR A POSITION THAT IS COUNTER TO THAT OF YOUR OWN?

TO BE EDUCATED TO A POSITION OTHER THAN ONE THAT YOU HOLD NEAR AND DEAR?

And let's face it, it is being broadcast on a station that leans left, so your arguments of propoganda really do not hold.

Do you have the guts to learn that you might be wrong?

Do you have the guts to LEARN and be OPEN-MINDED?

Yeah I do, every freaking day.

That's why I hold the positions I do.

Open your eyes and you'll stop clinging to discredited BS yourself.

And if you think CNN is "left-leaning", then you're already behind in the game.

By the way, do you have the guts and the intellectual honesty to admit that this administration has been habitually dishonest at best and has mislead the entire country?

Do you have the honesty to admit that if Clinton or any Democratic president and the people associated with him had say, resigned because they were frolicking with prostitutes while adding to the AIDS epidemic worldwide by insisting that abstinence is the only way to address it, or maybe one of your close weekly consultants, a religious leader, gets popped for buying meth and having gay sex with a prostitute on a regular basis, or if they'd been trying to peddle the same garbage that we're making "good progress" in a ridiculous war, over and over and over for 4 solid years despite solid evidence to the contrary.... and any number of a thousand other blatant evidence of incompetency at best and criminal misconduct at worst, that you'd be screaming yourself hoarse to impeach the bastard and saying the country was being destroyed and on and on and on.

Do you have the nuts to admit that?

That you're a rank hypocrite like most of the right and are STILL excusing the inexcusible from this gang of zealots, crooks, and incompetents?

Save the date!

Journalist, author and Blackwater expert Jeremy Scahill is scheduled to be in DeKalb on May 15.

I'll provide more details as I get them.

Careful Inside Man. One of these deluded right wing fools will whip out their old favorite: "At least Bush never ejaculated on a blue dress." They somehow think that makes all the crap the Bush/Cheney crowd has done okay.

1. The show is on at 6 and 8, not 7 (my mistake).

2. You don't think that CNN is left-leaning - you have got to be kidding on this one!

3. I have seen your action out in public and you are anything but open-minded. I almost had to leave the restaurant because you were such an obnoxious, opinionated and loud 'open-minded' individual.

I am looking forward to seeing your response to the show - IF you indeed have the backbone...to be educated.

Well, now the entire world has seen what happens when you allow people with that sort of horribly distorted sense of proportion and priority.

Massive military interventions, mass death and senseless destruction, not to mention outright looting of the treasury.

That's what "Jesus would do", evidently.

The right's hang-up with all things sexual is a laughing stock around the world and the dozens of prominent leaders of their "moral crusade" who've been exposed as kinky little pervs themselves just further shows the fact that they should have never been taken seriously to begin with.

Clinton was Mother Teresa and Ghandi rolled into one compared with these greedy selfish and twisted creeps who have hi-jacked the Republican party, and with it, our government.

You've always been obsessive and kind of creepy, but this cinches it.

You're a nutcase. Please don't comment anymore.

Now you think you're seeing me in restaurants?

I am curious however as to just what I was being "obnoxious, opinionated and loud" about in a restaurant.

This I gotta hear.

Please seek help.

I am very happy about the State wide smoking ban! I understand why all of our legislators voted it down, but this is the best thing to come out of the legislature in a long time!

Come now Dope...no censorship, let's be real. After watching the CNN special, you have to admit that there are serious flaws with Al Gore's 'Inconvenient Truth.'

Or are you still drinking the kool-aid?

Global Warming is a reality - now. However, in the mid-70's we were concerned with Global Cooling.

The earth changes and Al Gore has just manipulated this reality for his own personal gain - and the kool-aid drinkers are willing to go along.

Anon 5:32. I too am happy that I will be able to breathe come Jan 1. I also understand why all three of the QC legislators voted nay. The smoking ban in Springfield actually hurt Springfield bars because you could drive 2 miles to get to a smoking bar. The same will be true about the QCA. Davenport and Bettendorf are going to see increases in patrons.

Even so, it is a better day for the people of Illinois.

I don't have to admit to any such thing. First of all, I didn't watch the show... had other things to do and I'm not in the habit of letting people I don't care for dictate my viewing habits.

And secondly, if you're getting apoplectic about the fact that there are some open-ended questions about the concept of global warming... well then, have at it.

Sure there are. Big freaking deal.

The overwhelming preponderance of evidence shows that it most certainly is a real phenomena, the rest is just niggling around the edges.

Get a grip man.

It's possible for a person to be very well informed, and open-minded, and STILL disagree vehemently with your right wing garbage.

Amazing, but true.

Shocking that you have no desire to hear a reasoned opinion that differs from your own.

It is a dangerous habit to form an opinion with limited facts. It is equally as dangerous (for me, or anyone else0 to attempt to enter a reasonable dialogue with someone (who by their own admission) is dealing with a one-sided look at the facts.

In the world of Tivo and videotape it is quite telling that you could not find a manner in which to become more well-informed (whether you agree with that perspective or not).

I was watching "The Situation Room" which I'd recorded from the same day as the dubious "report" you demand that I watch and happened to see a promo for it.

The show was put on by... GLENN BECK????!!!!!

The third tier right wing radio host that "left-leaning" CNN gave a show to to pander to the 3 out of 10 people who still enjoy being "neo-conned" enough to listen?

The guy who asked the Minnesota representitive who happened to be Muslim why he should believe he's not in league with al Queda?

Yeah, that's great. Thanks anyway, but I think I'll use better judgement than to swallow "facts" from a virulent cheerleader for the Republican party without a trace of objectivity.

Would you swallow whole a show on global warming hosted by Sean Penn?

Give me a break. You're just too goofy to be real.

Glenn freaking Beck?

That's who you rely on for factual unbiased information?

No wonder you're so out of step with reality.

And no, I don't have to watch what you demand that I watch. Thanks anyway.

But since you think it's a some solemn obligation to do so, I suggest you watch Countdown every night. Then report back.

Did anyone see where this cook Mike Boland wants to take peoples drivers liscense away from them if they miss a child support payment. He wants to impound their cars as well. He wants to give liscenses to illegal immagrents though.

If you don't have a car it is tough to get to work.

What in the world is this guy thinking of.
