Hare to chair House session

Congressman Phil Hare will be filling in for Rep. Kathy Castor D-FL and will chair the House floor Tuesday evening from 4pm - 6pm.

Catch it on C-Span. It's not as exciting as professional bowling, but more interesting than watching paint dry. Plus, you'll get to assess Phil's ability to read cards presented by the parlimentarian, recognize representitives as they get up to speak and tell them how much time they have left. And of course, maybe even a gavel bang or two.

Due to the stampede of lemming-like congressmen flocking down to Virginia Tech to take advantage of a tragedy and add nothing but further confusion, chaos, headache and trouble to an area already suffering enough, Rep. Hare won't be chairing the House debate today.

Dope, sorry for the blug, but...

For those of you haven't seen it yet, someone put up a lot of the House Iraq debate on youtube.com. Congressman Hare's speech was one of those videos, and it can be viewed on my blog, www.scottbigmac.blogspot.com

Not a problem Scott. Though you could have sent it to me in e-mail and I could have added it to the post.

I'd like to see Phil speaking on the floor. Thanks.

Phil did a wonderful job. No wonder insiders are saying that Congressman Hare is destined to become Speaker of the House. Phil has gone from holding Lane's coat to banging the gavel in the well! Wow!!!

What an a**hole liar you are.

Amazing. You can't stop yourself from lying and hyping.

You're like a monkey sitting around throwing their own feces.

Please consider just giving your stupid stabs at political PR a rest.

(for the record, Hare didn't chair anything today. See post.)

Amazing. You can't stop yourself from lying and hyping. Do you think you're clever?

Speaking of stampedes of lemmings, I was waiting for liberals to use this tragedy as an excuse to (again) call for more gun control laws. Of course they would have to overlook the fact that the shooter had some very deep psychological problems and everyone ignored the warning signs ...and also the fact that he had no prior criminal record- so their wonderful background checks or waiting periods wouldn't have done a darn thing to prevent it. There is also some evidence that he bought the gun legally.
So unless guns develop a mind of their own, it seems like it all comes back to the person pulling the trigger after all.
I do not know if Virginia has a concealed carry law, but if one of the victims actually had a gun and knew how to use it, just think of the lives that could have been saved during the 2-hour time frame. When people are DISARMED, they are lemmings indeed.
Maybe in the next election, Congressman Phil Hare will actually fill out his NRA questionnaire and distance himself from the absurd anti-gun stance of his party and of his predecessor.

It is so nice to see Hare get the polish that he needed. He looks so good in his new suits and his new hair cut. I have seen him several times since he was given the seat and the transformation to slick Washington polotition from the secretary for Lane Evans is impreesive. I give Phil all the credit in the world for doing what was necisarry to get the job done.

And what a job he is doing. Keep up the great work Congressman!!

I saw Congressman Hares on the television today and boy did he look sharp. It's clear that his new $1000 suits have made him a much better looking Congressperson. I also noticed that he is getting his hair cut by the Congressional barber --- the same one Lane used. It looks real sharp!

I think they made a suit for Phil from two of Jacobs' mobster wanna-be suits.

It might have taken three of those suits.

I ran into Lane today and I assure he has the situation in hand. Lane spoke gleefully reagrding how well Phil is doing in Congress. Lane quipped, "I am not sure I could do better myself!" that's high praise from the man that gave Congressman Hare his seat!
