Haring begins "Coffee Talk Message Program"

A portion of a Haring press release:
For Immediate Release:
Contact: Steve Haring
Phone: 309-751-0975

Moline, IL – Steve Haring, candidate for State Representative, loves his coffee almost as much as he loves his politics. In an attempt to use his passion for coffee to his advantage in his bid for the 71st Representative District he has decided to start the “Coffee Talk With Steve Haring” message program.

“The district is 80 miles long so some of the issues in say Moline are miles apart from the issues in Morrison.” Steve said “I want to bridge that gap in Springfield, I want to represent the entire district not just some of it and I can’t do that unless I hear the concerns of people all over the district.”

This new program will be focused on local issues in different locations around the 71st House District. The first “Coffee Talk” will be in Rapids City, IL with more to come throughout the election cycle. Steve will provide the coffee as the voters provide the questions and topics. All are invited to attend and bring up the issues that are most important to them.

Steve will be having his first “Coffee Talk” at The Brothers Restaurant, 1718 2nd Ave, Rapid City, Illinois on July 24, 2006. Steve will be there from 7:00 am - 9:00 am, we hope to see you there.

Come on Dems. The Republicans are stealing your lunch once again. I've been practically begging campaigns to send in any info they'd like published for over a year and with only a couple exceptions, you've ignored it. I can't force you to be smart enough to take advantage of a golden opportunity. (and it doesn't cost a dime!)

Send along your press releases, information or announcements and I'll be glad to post any events you want publicized. Or of course, you could continue to squander the opportunity out of ignorance and/or petty spite while the Republicans take advantage. Your call.

Hee hee. I hope you're right Craig. But complacency by a campaign or especially voters, can be a very dangerous thing.
