One year down the road

What? It's only been a year? You must be kidding me!

Trust me, a year must be equal to about 17 "blog years".

But believe it or not, a year ago today, I put up the first incarnation of The Inside Dope with no idea what would happen next. Not much has changed.

But for those who even care about such things, and apparently, there are several who do, mostly to suggest that no one reads the thing, that it's not growing, blah, blah, blah, here's a couple graphs.

One shows unique visits to the blog over the past 362 days (counting didn't start until Feb. 16th, 2005, so it's a few days short of a year.)

The second shows both visits and page views for the same period. These are both screen shots taken from the Sitemeter tracking service.

Total unique visits: over 61,000
Avg. unique visits per day: 430
Highest daily unique visits: 848 set last week

Total page views: over 111,000
Avg. page views per day: 782

I may post some observations about what I've learned and observed in the course of doing this in a day or two after I recover from Valentine's Day.
