Pancakes and the politicians that love them

Paul Rumler, challenger for 36th district state senator, held a pancake breakfast fundraiser this past Saturday morning. It's reported that among those who showed up to lend some support was Rep. Mike Boland.

I'm sure that this won't affect the peas-in-a-pod closeness and brotherhood between Sen. Mike Jacobs and Boland which has been trumpeted here many times by the Jacobs camp.

There is no truth to this. Once again you are Making things up as usual.

That's funny.

Since no Rumler supporter would immediately suggest this was a lie, it's obvious that you're one of those whacky HeadUsherites.

So you're asking us to believe that YOU were at a Rumler fundraiser the entire time? How else would you know whether Boland was there?

It was reported by more than one person who attended that Boland made an appearance.

Sorry. But I tend to trust these sources more than someone whose immediate instinct is to lie like mad and who can do this so often and so easily and apparently without conscience.

For the record, I was there and personally shook Boland's hand.

Whoever you are...PLEASE stop making such ridiculous accusations!!!!

...and if you are who everyone surmises that you are, why don't you pick up the phone and give Boland a call and find out the truth for yourself.

You're posts are long beyond tiresome, and frankly deter many readers such as myself from even wanting to visit these blogs!!! So please, if you have nothing useful to add...SHUT YOUR TRAP!!!

Was Rep Verschoore there as well? Or other interesting sightings?

Dope, were you there? If not, could you say Boland was "rumored" to be in attendance - or maybe ask him first before posting this type of stuff?? Just asking.

I could have put it that way, but I trust my sources enough to state it the way I did.

Besides, is there really a lot of distinction between "It's reported that among those who showed up... was Rep. Mike Boland" and "Boland was rumored to be in attendance"??

I suggest there's none.

I don't think that boland being at Rumlers breakfast will deture these great Leaders for doing a great job in Springfield. Sen Mike Jacobs and Reps Vershoore and Boland were hand in hand for the WIU 2.4 million dollar venture and Jacobs and Boland will be there for the Pig plant. Gret work men!!!

As I said in the post, I'm sure this won't affect a thing.

Interesting now that the Jacobs trolls have gone from flat out saying this was false to damage control.

But I don't doubt that Jacobs and Boland will work together. It would be stupid of both not to.

After all, "gret" minds think alike.

Dope, don't let Mike's spelling "deture" you from voting for him.

Nowhere did I say that you said differently. Where did I say this was false. I only stated these men are working hard for us in Springfield. Lighten up. Reading is a skill.

I like how you took the gret men off of your post so that you don't look so deranged. I have pics though. Do you ever try and photo these they come out beautiful if you take the flash off. You can get coments before they are submitted as a proof source. Nice try though.

Your credability is realy in question here.

You know, now that I see that you have put the 23/1/06 on the bottom maybe you should go back and fix what you have tampered with "Dick Nixon".

To the author of the above two comments. You sir or madam, are insane. There's no getting around it. The cheese has slipped off your cracker, your elevator doesn't go to the top floor, flip-city, whacko, batty, loony, fruitcake, twisted crazy.

It took me a while to try to make sense of your first comment, but I think it says that you're now taking pictures of your computer monitor to try to prove that I don't publish your crazy comments? Do I have that right?

That's like noticing hey're running commercials, thinking you're really on to something, and taking pictures of your television so you'll have "proof".

You STILL think it's some scandal that I screen out off-topic or junk comments?

Your comments above are Exhibit A as to why I have to do it. If it wasn't for unfortunate people like yourself, I wouldn't have to.

Yesterday you wrote I am possessed by the devil, today I'm Dick Nixon.

There might be medicines that can help you. Perhaps shock therapy?

I'm not a fan of regulation, but you truly make me wonder if there ought to be some sort of simple test people have to pass before being allowed access to the net.

Rumler's web site shows that he had about 17 people at his pancake breakfats including kids, him mom and dad and uncle. Sort of pathetic.Check the photos for yourself at his web site,

I was at the breakfast, and I had to wait for a seat when I first got there. There weren't any tables available. I'd say there were probably around 75 people there at that time, not sure how busy it was the rest of the morning.
