It's Winborn vs. Ahrens for D'port mayor
Former Scott County Board chairman and auditor Ed Winborn and Davenport alderman at-large Steve Ahrens will square off in the Nov. 8 election for mayor of Davenport.And it looks like MaybeSomeday, the only predictor in the post below, got it right.
Unofficial results from the county auditor's office show that Winborn tallied 3,181 votes in Tuesday’s primary election to lead the four-person field. Ahrens placed second with 2,270. Former Davenport school board president Denise Hollonbeck tallied 2,031 votes, and Niky Bowles garnered 1,988.

I'm picking Winborn to win. It looks like the voters in Davenport finally want a grown-up to come in and stop the squabbling.
Engelmann (8th ward) is almost certain to be out. Bushek (2nd) can't be that far behind him.
