The Line on Illinois 2006

Here's the line on the 2006 elections in Illinois according to Modern Vertebrate, a site from northwest Chicago.

Think they have it right across the board? Where would you differ? They offer the opinion that Evans may step down due to health concerns, but if not, he'd be all but impossible to beat.

Headcase is full of it, and if you fall for it YoungDem, you're not too bright either.

Jacobs has nothing to do with this site except for HeadUsher providing constant and ceaseless harrassment.

He's not bright enought to participate but wants to dominate and control the blog by acting like a child.

If Senator Jacobs is anything like HeadUsher, then he's not capable of writing a coherent sentence, let alone authoring a blog.

I've long invited local pols to participate here. They're more than welcome to leave comments, and I've even offered to let them post pieces they'd write.

Jacobs and all the rest have chosen not to take advantage.

But Jacobs' biggest fan has instead decided to attack the blog.

What does that tell you?

Hey, Dope;
What usher gives the best blowjobs?

Why, the HeadUsher, of course.

Wow. Politicians getting blogs! Wowee!

Who cares? You really think the pol is going to take time to do this? Get real young dem.

I don't think you know what blogs are all about. Why is it good, or even important, that politicians (rather, their operatives) are online yakking?

Dope,

I also would like to say that I think this is a pretty darn good blog. I'm hoping to get my blog going soon, but I just haven't been able to find the time.

I would also like to say that HU does not represent all fans of Mike Jacobs. I had hoped to refrain from making any comments about this, but with the all the commentary going on regarding him, based on this one poster's attitude, I felt it's necessary.

Mike Jacobs and his family (including his parents, siblings and a couple nephews) are good friends of mine. I admit that being a good person doesn't automatically make one a good public servant, but it's certainly a vital asset. Unfortunately for me, I've been away from the Quad Cities for a few years now, but my entire family still lives there, and I still visit them when I can. I also have had the opportunity to hang out with Mike a few times recently as well.

My point is, that while I may be a bit out of the loop (not the blogger of the same name) as far as his actual job performance goes, I can still honestly say that he has the best interests of Quad Citians in mind. I think Denny still provides valuable advice, but he's no puppetmaster.

I believe we'll begin to see a stronger Senator Jacobs as soon as he wins his first election (which I think we all know is almost certain) and thus will have a firmer foundation to stand on when working bills through the Senate.

Keep in mind that getting bills through the Illinois Legislature is not as cut and dry as we'd like to think. I've not only heard this from Denny and Mike, but also in my conversations with Barack Obama.

hrc,

Just wanted to point out that it IS possible to post minor updates to a blog and still get the job done. I agree with your sentiment that politicians have better things to do then be yakking online, but if it's just to keep their electorate informed, then that's certainly not a bad thing.

Senator Obama has a blog on his website now. He also has a weekly podcast that I think is a great idea and excellent way for him to keep his constituents informed. So long as they're computer literate, that is;) [read, not retarded... that was a joke, sorry if it offended any retards;)]

The bottom line of all of this is that HeadUsher, representing Mike Jacobs, if not Mike Jacobs himself, is attempting to push me off of my own blog so they can take it over.

That's it.

I think it's a great idea for politicians of all stripes to avail themselves of blogs to both express their views and get their message out.

Long time readers of this blog will recall that I've all but begged politicians, candidates, and parties to do just that here.

No one has, with a few small exceptions.

They'd rather try to intimidate me, smear me, lie about me, threaten me, and out and out try to buy me off.

I find that rather repulsive.

But that's what's happening. Make of it what you will.

And thank you to those who've finally found their voices. I am sick of trying to deal with the ego of HeadUsher and his attempt to push me around.

If he realizes that there are many out there who don't appreciate it, maybe he'll come to his senses.

Easy for you to say.
You may think the blog doesn't matter.... but I have a little bit of personal investment in it and I do not appreciate someone coming here intent on making a mess of it.

But thanks for the advise.

Thanks...
The way I see it, what Headcase is doing is as if I had an open house at my home and he waltzes in and proceeds to take a dump on my living room floor.

Then, when I call him on it, he tells me not to get upset because HE thinks my house sucks anyway.

Ya know? A real class act.

It just ain't right. ha!
