Waddaya know? Right, fundy hissy fit over Shiavo based on erroneous assumptions.

Despite Bush Boy's running back home as if it were a national emergency to try to inject the Federal government into a personal family matter, (but they didn't interupt his bike ride when a plane flew into the Capitol's airspace) and despite Tom Delay's and other wing-nut's insane blustering and threats, it turns out they were flat, 100% wrong, wrong, wrong, and were lying and obfuscating the issue all along.

The reprehensible Bill Frist even offered his opinion as a medical doctor (a fact he reminds us of every 30 seconds) based on a long outdated video clip of Shiavo.
Bill Frist (R-Strange), a renowned heart surgeon before becoming Senate majority leader, went to the floor late Thursday night for the second time in 12 hours to argue that Florida doctors had erred in saying Terri Schiavo is in a “persistent vegetative state.”

“I question it based on a review of the video footage which I spent an hour or so looking at last night in my office,” he said in a lengthy speech in which he quoted medical texts and standards. “She certainly seems to respond to visual stimuli.”
Ooooops. The recent autopsy of the poor woman showed she was completely blind.
As the right's sainted hero Reagan once stated, "Facts are stupid things", and evidently, they've taken that to heart.

An autopsy on Terri Schiavo backed her husband's contention that she was in a persistent vegetative state, finding that she had massive and irreversible brain damage and was blind, the medical examiner's office said Wednesday. It also found no evidence that she was strangled or otherwise abused.
Never mind.
