Rove, panicked, shoves Bush out on stage

Tonight we'll be witness to a rare address by President George W. Bush. Or not.
I myself don't feel I have the stomach to endure it.

So I've got a humble request. If any of you feel you have the strength and temperment to actually watch the thing, please feel free to leave a review and highlights (or lowlights as the case may be) in comments below.

Rove/Bush et.al. are finally waking up and smelling the coffee. They know that support for this bogus invasion is going down faster than ... well, maybe I better not say.. this is a respectable blog. ahem.

Suffice it to say that support for George's splendid little adventure is eroding fast, and so Dim Son will address us all and "fess up" to something that everyone in the world both knows and acknowledges, namely, that the situation is a hopeless mess, a quagmire, with no clear way out.

Well, of course he won't be THAT honest, it's not in him, but he'll make noises designed to assure us all that he's at least vaguely aware that things are bad over there, which is more than the arrogant putz has been willing to do until now.

It will no doubt be a nauseating attempt to tell us all not to panic, things are a bit rough, but building democracies is an "untidy business" to use Rumsfeld's phrase, and all we need to do is stay the course.

He'll pretend to be talking to us like adults, but he'll still be lying and trying to pull the wool over American's eyes as if we're toddlers.

Let us know how it goes, and try not to loose your lunch or throw anything through your TV.

Some wonder whether Iraq is a central front in the war on terror. Among the terrorists, there is no debate.

Disagree with that.

It shor 'nuf is Davey.

Are you proud of that? Sending U.S. servicemen and women and all the countless contractors looking for the big easy score over there, putting them all right in the middle of Iraq with a big fat bullseye on their backs?

We're saving those terrorists the trouble of coming around the world to slaughter us. Hell, we'll send our people to you! Serve 'em up on a platter. Now that's service!

And don't tell me you subscribe to the truly INSANE "flypaper" excuse that some of the more shameless Bush apologists have put forward.
You know the one which says that we're doing the right thing, since the "terrorists" are slaughtering our soldiers over in Iraq, and that's preventing them from attacking us here.
That has GOT to be the most callous, most childish, and most desperate attempt to excuse the disaster that is Iraq EVER.

Americans killed on 9/11 - 3000+

We could follow the Clinton doctrine and just ignore a threat even exits. That seemed to work well. Or maybe we could nice them to death, or arrest them and put them on trial. Short sighted pacifists like yourselves can't see the importance of creating a democracy in the MIddle East in the hopes of eliminating state sponsered terrorism. What is your solution? Pull out?

You mean a solution to you? I suppose that might have helped. Either that or birth control, but it's a little late.

OH!! You mean to the mess in Iraq? (Just kidding.)

No, we can't leave all at once. Bush broke it, now we bought it.
But we damn well better start planning a phased withdrawal.

How 'bout win. Lay out your "phased withdrawal" plan. And explain how long we were supposed to be in the Balkins. You're a Bush hating hypocrit.
How would you protect the homeland?

Dave..... repeat after me.

THE ATTACKERS ON 9-11 WERE ALMOST ALL SAUDI ARABIANS.

NEITHER AL QUADA NOR BIN LADEN HAVE ANY CONNECTION WHATSOEVER WITH SADAAM HUSEIN OR IRAQ.

BIN LADEN AND SADAAM DESPISE EACH OTHER.

Just keep repeating that as long as it takes to drive all the pure 100% Grade A bullshit that has been shoveled into your brain by Bush, Rush, and all the rest.

If you STILL believe that there was any connection between our attackers and Iraq, then you probably also believe in the tooth fairy.

SNAP OUT OF IT!

And in reply to your last comment, just hang on. I'll have a 846 page detailed plan of operations that will rival anything put out by the state dept. It will include the detailed information you thrive on Dave, like specific plans, thresholds, when to move what divisions and units and where to, complete logistics reports and material requirements for drawing down our troops.

In other words, piss off. You must be joking if you think I need to have that sort of detailed plan.
That's way above my pay grade.

But a plan which sets time tables for both the training of Iraqi forces and the withdrawal of our forces would be a long overdue dose of sanity in this disaster of an invasion.

And Dave, I hate to break it to you, but we are not, and can not "win" this so-called "war".

It ain't gonna happen.

For instance, you tell me what would be required for us to declare victory.

See? It can't be done. Bush has gotten us into a truly impossible situation, a fact that many attempted to point out BEFORE he drove us into it, and they were mocked and ridiculed by the likes of you.

Diehard, you're obviously better informed than most people.

Might I suggest this book?

I've recently read it, and it details all of the many connections between billionaire Saudi princes and the Bush family.

The author is very well respected, this book is not some whacky conspiracy theory book, but simply reveals the hidden connections that are there in plain sight... if the press had the balls to look into it.
It should be more widely known.

Click the link and then click the little box in the upper right of your browser to enlarge the window.
At the site you'll find excerpts from the book as well as new accounts which verify the facts presented, such as how Senator Bob Graham maintained that Bush covered up Saudi participation in 9-11.
