Before anyone signs-up, please talk to someone who has worked for Boland in the past. What you'll find is that know one ever stays with Boland. Even Boland's current chief-of-staff, Mike Hutton, is looking to get out. Boland is notriously cheap and self-centered. He doesn't pay a decent wage, or contribute to the Black Hawk College Democrats, or any worthy cause.

Boland is all for protecting the children of third World countries, but against paying Quad Citiy kids a decent wage.

Don't believe me, just ask Boland for $500. See what the response is!

Be carefull, when you lay down with dog, you get up with fleas!

Anonymight, in order to know all about politics like you, do I have to become a creepy stalker who's obsessed with trash-talking people they don't know?

No thanks.

And if anything would "help this blog out", it would be for you to get a life and bug off. That alone would improve things for everyone around here.

Ditto Dope - to H-Usher,

Usher, you are a worshiper of those who pound negatively on the folks who are doing the right thing in our QC area. Your comments in several other posts prove that. I won't get specific cause you know what I mean.

I am scared that you actually have some ink somewhere and are paid to voice your opinion in the form of "unbiased journalisim". When I see some publications that will be out soon, I will find out if I am right or not.

Either way, your obsession and compliments to the folks who reign in acting like stupid little children are just down right evil.

I have begun tuning you out when you post since your have such a nasty bias-- so there.

As a great American leader said, "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen."

Although Bush & Company can't stand it, we are still living in a free country (America). Someday, if you don't like my post, please feel free to bury your head. Better yet, apply for the aformentioned internship and test my theory!

Boing, boing...boing

Boland didn't show up to the meeting, he didn't even call to cancel. When they called his office his assitant said he was on vacation. What a jerkwad.

Yes, another young dem from black hawk college stated he wasn't really interesting in interning, just wanted to see what was said. Mr. Boland, sick or not, vacation or any other reason, should have at least let them know he would not be there. No thank you note needed young Dems! No thank you at all!

Ah folks - ahem -- I call your attention to a past newspaper article written about Mr Boland I believe about 5 or 6 years ago- where he and his office help said that when they get an invitation in the mail/or phone to attend an event, they first decide if the event is going to be "worth while" to attend and then also if the folks holding the event have ever "contributed" to the Boland campaign. And I recall them saying-- monetarily contributed to Mike's re-election efforts.

In other words, unless there was "somthing" in it for them, they were not interested in putting in any time for the event.

Sorry Young Dems - you must not have made the grade this time when you extended the invite.

Now that revelation by Boland and Company was an eye opener for me at the time (and still is)- because if in fact that is their method, the fact that they were willing to spout it to a reporter proved how dense Boland and his staff really are....and stupid.

Anyone else remember this??
