Who knew?
If Mike Jacobs had gotten about 40,000 more votes last November, he'd be Lake County States Attorney now.

It's tToo bad the Lake County States Attorney race didn't extend to Rock Island County. If it had, Mike Jacobs would have easily found an extra 40,000 votes! Afterall, thus far the Jacobs' family has amassed 107 years of elective political service to the people of Northwestern Illinois!
The Dope had never done the math, but 107 years is a long time in anyone's book.
If Dope wasnt scared it would win every office
that Mike Jacobs sure gets around!
Not only that, he's a state rep in Georgia, and a professor of law at DePaul University!
isn't he a television producter too? that is one busy man!
A litle Google searching also reveals he's bowled a perfect game, is a tournament bass fisherman, and an orthopedic MD.
Who knew??
bygump, your comments are so good, they're worth posting twice.
Double posting is a common mistake. It sometimes takes a while for a comment to show up. You're not the first one this has happened to.
I'll delete the doubles when I come across them, so if it happens again, just let it hang for a while and I'll nab it.
Is Mike Jacobs running for State Treasurer in 2006?
no, wrong Mike. Boland may run.
look for joel brunsvold to return home and run for jacobs seat
Brunsvold to run against Mike Jacobs? That makes no sense at all if you know any of the involved parties...
If Brunsvold runs against Mike Jacobs, the Dope will ride a white horse wearing nothing but a smile down any street of your choice.
