What passes for right wing humor

UGH.

This should be interesting. Kind of like the Hindenburg disaster.

Fox News is planning a rip-off of The Daily Show called The Half-Hour News Hour.

Two clips have leaked, and ... well.

Try to watch. Here's one. (the post also contains news about how Keith Olberman's getting a raise, his ratings continue to go up, while Fox's continue to slide.)

And here's another portraying a nightmare too hideous to comprehend.

oh no, I thought it was funny. Is that a problem?

anonymous,
If you thought it was funny, I guess that puts you in the minority. Whether that is a problem or not depends on how you feel about being out-of-step. Tell me, do you think that was a live audience laughing (like on the Daily Show) or a laugh track. It sounded like a laugh track to me.

It's most definitely a cheesy laugh track. That jumps out at you right away.

I imagine this will go the way of that last "funny" right winger, Dennis Miller's show, where he resorted to appearing with a chimp at his side in a pathetic attempt to salvage the trainwreck.

The only thing I thought was at all funny was the thing about Obama's popularity among Democrats slipping to 99.9%. The rest of it kind of felt like SNL's weekend update when it tried to be funny by not being funny, except it didn't work. Maybe they needed Norm McDonald.

Its pretty funny to me that they're so blatantly ripping off the Daily Show though.

The show will have lots of Lush Limball and Michael Savage humor about race.

When I watched the Rush/Ann Coulter thing I got that feeling you get when you realize someone is not mentally balanced!
Both of those weirdos give me the creeps!
