The big difference here is that OJ was on his own.

I've seen lots of spin and damage control with this whole scandal, but I haven't seen what if anything has been done for the pages themselves. Guess politics trumps victimized youth.
Still trying to figure out how alcoholism has anything to do with causing pedophilia, except that hiding after political scandal is the first step to political recovery. Maybe Foley and Mel Gibson can enter group therapy together.
The only thing I've heard of regarding addressing the pages themselves, has been from our neighboring congressman and Hastert pal, republican Ray LaHood.
He came out literally the day after the Foley scandal broke suggesting that, try to believe it, the entire page system be eliminated altogether!
How stupid is that?
And what's the thinking behind an idea like that??
That congressmen are always going to be pedophiles and sexual predators, and we can't do anything about that, so we might as well get rid of the pages??!!
That idea struck me as particularly ridiculous.
Apparently LaHood thinks the problem isn't with a weirdo in congress being sexually suggestive to young pages, but rather with the fact that pages are there to begin with!
"total doorknob"? HA!!
I'm afraid I've got to steal that one. Cracks me up!
Maybe, first of all, nice to see you around...
And I reported on this deal way back on June 15.
The post is here.
Maybe... you made my day. Thanks.
Better? I'm not sure it's fair to compare. But different, yeah.
