There certainly is a point to where the Dem's can take this too far. They certainly do not want people looking at the history of scandle of both parties...

Let's face it we have a drunk who was having an affair with a young girl, flipped his car off a bridge and killed her - as the biggest loudmouth of the Dem's.

And we have a man accused of rape on 4 different occasions being caught with a 22-year old getting a 'Lewinsky' in the Oval Office.

And they want to say that a dirty e-mail is the end of the Republican Party?

(TID, FYI - I do believe that you are far too partisan to print this, can you prove me wrong?)

anon, if I was tempted not to print drivel such as yours, it's only because it's so stupid and off kilter.

Why not dredge up some duel from the 18th century and try to make a point from it?

37 year old tragedies don't have any bearing on what's going on RIGHT NOW.

None. Not. One. Tiny. Bit.

Ted Kennedy's mistakes don't have a thing to do with Foley's actions and the Republican leadership's inaction.

The constituents of Kennedy have chosen to return him to office countless times. Do you think Foley would be re-elected?

That's the end of that story.

Face it, your tiresome and endless blame game and refusal to take responsibility for ANYTHING the Republicans have screwed up is sickening. The American public has had it up to here and then some with it.

It's a joke, but you don't get it.
For 6 years every problem in the universe has been Clinton's fault, the liberal press's fault, Hollywood liberal's faults, and essentially ANYONE else's fault except the damned party who controls THE ENTIRE GOVERNMENT.

People are SICK to death of this ridiculous refusal to be accountible for everything that has gone wrong. It's almost pathetic that pointing fingers is still the only thing you have left to do.

Try anything to distract people from the facts and what is happening right now, not decades ago.

You're entire range of argument for 8 years now has consisted of "HEY! Look over there!" to get people to not look too hard or too long at the blatant corruption, failure, incompetence, and greed of the White House and the lemmings of the Republican party who support it.

You're living in some alternative universe if you sincerely think that the Dems have any guilt in any of this.

The only remotely valid thing you mention is that the Dems could overplay this, but it's hard to imagine them doing so.

Look, the Republicans have been overplaying everything for YEARS now, and no one seems to make them pay for it.

Look at the tabloid crap that you swallow whole and say, "thank you Karl, may I have another?

Clinton's been "accused" of rape several times? I could accuse Bush of being sexually attracted to goats, would that make it true?

Your crap is ridiculous! Why would you even feel like writing it without being ashamed?

Let's not talk about the "accusations" against the Chimp in Charge, including massive coke use, getting a woman pregnant and aborting the child, Bush's brother Neil frolicking with Asian hookers in his hotel room. (well, that's not an accusation, it's documented in his divorce papers), Bush's grandfather's prosecution for trading with the enemy for financial deals with the Nazi's, and on and on.

The reason that stuff is irelevant is that it doesn't help get the crazies out of the White House and the capitol.

It doesn't help the country and has nothing to do with addressing the incredibly serious problems we will have to deal with, largely due to the misrule of Republicans.

And face it, the Republicans are in desperation mode. It's melt-down time Chester.
Better get out the crying towel.

Just because they own everything and have tried to turn this country into a one party plutocracy and thinks it can bullshit the people like a late-night infomercial creep doesn't mean that the American people, ESPECIALLY sane Republicans, won't stand up and say enough already!

These radicals have hi-jacked the country long enough. We want it back.

The spin I'm seeing from Republicans in the past two weeks reminds me of two cats trying to claw onto the inside of a stainless steel barrel of hot oil. Scratch away, but we're gonna see fried cat.

Could anon 7:42 be old Danger Man himself? How are those good juicy steaks? How 'bout some thanks for brining it to your table, Lord Farquaad.

Geez, Dope, your comment would make a great rant post itself.

I did one recently called "Chappa-quit it" but deleted it 'cause the title was the only good part. As rants go, I do better in person.

Yinn, thanks, I hope.

Sometimes it's just hard to keep from uncorking.

And I see how it would be hard to beat your title. ha!

I rarely get the chance to rant out loud, and I'm probably pretty bad at it, (not that I'm much good in print) so at least you got that going for you.

I try to avoid ranting in public because it's entirely likely that it would lead to ugliness. There's plenty of that around as it is.

I really should learn to tolerate fools better, but so far, I haven't had any luck.
