Timmy's got the big dog, but we don't.

Scheduled to appear on Meet the Press:

BILL CLINTON
Former President of the United States

HAMID KARZAI
President of Afghanistan

FMR. SEN. JOHN DANFORTH (R-MO)
Fmr. United States Ambassador to the United Nations
Author, Faith and Politics: How the "Moral Values" Debate Divides America and How to Move Forward Together

Should be interesting, to say the least.

But the Meet the Press site reports that MTP will be aired at noon our time due to the Ryder Cup coverage. It suggests checking on it's list of stations to find out what time it will appear in local areas.

Let's see......

Davenport, IA
KWQC-TV, Pre-empted

OOOOooops.

Nevermind.

Can't wait to see what they put on in place of it.

If you have a good enough antenna you might be able to catch it on KWWL, channel 7, out of Cedar Rapids (Here's the schedule). Or wait the 15 minutes it'll take for it to pop up on youtube. :)

KWQC is showing "Teen Kids News" instead. MTP is on at 3:30 Monday morning on KWQC. They care for us.

I think they also replay MTP on MSNBC Sunday evenings (when one half of the country is watching desperate housewives and the other half football).

Oh well. It looks like all the fun will be tomorrow on FNS anyway. The internet is all abuzz about Clinton's eye-popping, red-faced, finger-wagging I Did Not Have Sex With That Woman out of control performance during Chris Wallaces' interview.

Jeez, you'd think after all these years, he would know how to control his inner child during these press interactions. My guess is that he has been in a bubble lately, being exclusively around people and organizations who adore him, and so when he was confronted with criticism, he went into melt-down mode, including another trite VRWC rant. Pathetic.

I'm sure Timmy will just toss Clinton some softballs since the two are simpatico. Borrrrring.

Tiz,
Thanks for that helpful information.

I'm still scratching my head over KWQC's programming decision. Egads!

I had to run this morning and didn't get around to seeing what other times MTP might be aired locally.

A bit of searching shows that, as you correctly noted, in addition to KWQC airing this week's MTP at 3:30 a.m. Monday,
MSNBC will also broadcast it at both 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. tomorrow (Sunday).

This is great info for those addicted to the sabbath gasbags.

Paladin, you've crossed officially into being a right wing asshole.

The right puts out blatant LIES about the actions of the Clinton administrations actions against bin Laden, while, as they never mention, they weren't concerned about him AT ALL but were obsessed with thigh rubbing about someone's sex life and nearly bringing the government to a halt, and when Chris Wallace tries to repeat the bullshit, and Clinton calls him on it.... all of a sudden Clinton is insane and freaking out in your twisted mind.

You've officially thown away whatever credibility you ever had.

If you can't do any better than spewing outright lies with no bearing whatsoever on reality, don't bother commenting. Seriously.

I say that not out of some overblown loyalty to Clinton or from thinking he's a faultless human being.

But he did a hell of a lot more to try to take out bin Laden that freaking Chimpy McFlightsuit has done SINCE 9-11.

Where's Osama now? The Chimporer has said he's not too concerned and doesn't really think about it much.

So where's your idiotic rant against that?

I didn't lie about the Sacred Sexual Harrasser, I just noted the buzz about his meltdown on FNS. Jeez! You left-wingers are really sensitive about your sexual harrassers.

Please read my comments before getting hysterical. You're beginning to lose credibility except as a left-wing hack. Please show me what "lies" I told. I didn't offer an opinion about whether Clinton let Osama off or not, I just noted his "methinks he doth protest too much" hysterics on FNS. Hey, I just report----you go into hysterics. Talk about no credibility!

paladin. get an actual opinion, all you seem to do is just put down the democratic party and criticize them for the practically the same thing the republicans do. you seem to be against the black or white thinking, yet at the same time you make huge generalizations about the democrats. it is obvious all you try to do is get a rise out of people by spewing some bs out of your keyboard. your statements had nothing to do with the post, so opposed to telling dope to read before he types, how about you do the same?

Paladin, your characterization of Clinton was idiotic.

And I'm so damn sick of hearing from robotic repeaters of the crap of the week like yourself who characterize every single prominent Democrat as somehow crazy or losing control. It's stupid, it's stale, and it's utterly false.

Bush leans over the podium and gets out and out rude to reporters and acts like some pissed off bratty punk, and no one says much about it.

Clinton spends a week fending off an attempt to LIE about the historical events leading up to 9-11 in a way that suggests that his administration actually had Bin Laden in their sights but refused to take him out, and now this dumb-ass Wallace the lesser thinks he's cute for asking Clinton to defend himself AGAIN against all this BS when it's been accepted fact that it's simply not true, and after both Republican and Democrat alike came out and condemned the lies in the fakeudrama on ABC. Hell, even Bill Bennett said it was wrong to do, as did nearly everyone else.

So Clinton is supposed to be really magnanimous and gracious when this idiot tries to repeat the same lies again?

When Clinton is there to discuss something truly important that he's doing? And all Wallace wants to do is rehash that stupid crap?

So Clinton gets a bit pointed, and weirdos like you try to act like he's "hysterical" and completely losing his mind.

That's what pisses me off and what blows any credibility you ever had.

It's the constant blatant bullshit Paladin. A little hyperbole here and there is expected.

But when it's an endless stream of out and out lies and rank distortions with not any relation to reality, it's time to call you and everyone else that spouts it.

This reign of lies and trying to establish an alternate reality in people's minds has got to end.

They tried to say Gore was "crazy" and mentally unbalanced if he so much as put some passsion into a speech.

The tactic of trying to question any Dem's sanity when they show some sort of normal human emotion is sickening.

Bush leans over the podium and gets out and out rude to reporters and acts like some pissed off bratty punk, and no one says much about it.

This reign of spouting lies and trying to establish an alternate reality in people's minds has got to end.

There was a time when saying something on TV or radio or in print meant something. Now the right has filled the air with so much crap and bald faced lies that the public is left utterly befuddled and helpless to tell what is true and what is not.

This is part of what the right has done which is dragging this country down. And it's got to end.

You can't say Clinton was "hysterical" any more than I can say that Bush crapped his pants and blamed it on the guy next to him. A lie is a lie is a lie.

You should try to avoid it.

Say what you will about my characterization of Clinton, but you have to admit I was spot on about Timmy and his softballs. Timmy set up every DNC talking point for Clinton to parrot and pontificate about. What a journalist! What credibility Timmy gained for asking the "tough" questions to those who share your ideology! Timmy bending over and grabbing his ankles for Clinton----priceless!

Right wing asshole? Oooooh, I love it when you talk dirty to me Dopey baby!

Just caught President Clinton on MTP on MSNBC and I was left wondering how in the world Paladin could be in a snit.

Clinton was talking about the truly inspiring effort by dozens of world leaders to both fund and implement real measures to address several of the most crucial problems facing the world.

Clinton was remarkably restrained when given the chance to criticize Bush's monumental blunders, and remained heroically positive in trying to find some hope in the mess that has been created.

One line that stands out was after Russert asked Clinton if he thought the 800 BILLION or more that has been spent on the folly in Iraq could have been better spent elsewhere.

Clinton off-handedly said that he felt the money could have been better spent THERE, noting that there's about 9 BILLION that has simply vanished without any accounting for it at all, before continuing with his opinion that he felt it could have been spent differently.

He said that in his opinion, we should have concentrated on three things; finishing the job in Afghanistan and taking care of bin Laden and his associates, securing our country, and building a larger and more committed alliance with other nations.

Just what, Paladin, was Russert supposed to bang on Clinton about? What sort of questions would you have had him ask? Seriously.

And your suggestion that Russert is "sympatico" with Clinton is jaw-droppingly ignorant of the past.

Were you on a different planet for 8 years when Russert was acting like a prosecutor on crack every time there was anyone on from the Clinton administration, or when he'd harrass and demean nearly any Dem during both of the last two elections?

I remember him spending about 10 minutes hectoring Howard Dean about EXACTLY how many troops we had in Iraq that particulal moment. It was nuts.

And for a long time he was obsessed with Hilary Clinton, much the same way Chris Matthews continues to be.

It might do you well to check out The Daily Howler and their archives. Do a search on stuff about Russert and then come back and tell us how big a suck-up to Clinton he is.

If you're going to get your jollys coming around here and spouting your right wing drivel, at LEAST try to avoid pulling stuff out of your hindside that you've heard on Limbaugh or Hannity.

I know it's tough to see objective reality encroaching on the alternate reality that Bush & Co. has peddled and sold so well, and which you've apparently bought hook, line, and sinker.

But you and the rest will have to wake up some day. Might as well start now.

By the way, Clinton did say that he'd found "Fiasco" by Thomas Ricks a particularly intersting book.

It's a bestselling account of what really happened in the invasion of Iraq and happens to be available for purchase via the link in the sidebar. (hint, hint)

I give up! You have completely misrepresented my views about Clinton.

As for the Russert/FNS interviews----it must be that roshomon thing where different people view the same event and come away with different impressions.

The anger and hysteria of you and your commenters is something to regard, though----to say nothing of the hypocrisy and double-standards.

But whatever. I can't get all that exercised about it. I thought Clinton's performance was hilarious, and still do. But after reading the views of the left blogland, now I'm thinking Clinton contrived the "explosion" on FNS. I doubt he's ever done anything spontaneously in his life. After all, he was spouting all the netroots talking points. Maybe he was trying to smooth things over with the Moveon.org crowd for his wife.

Just a theory.

Your anger about this whole thing is amazing, however. I really don't understand it unless you just can't handle any criticism of your heroes, and anyone who thinks Clinton is anything less than a god, is a neo-con, right-wing, radical conservative.

Sad, if true.

Paladin, rest easy. That, like much of your imaginings, bears no resemblance to the truth.
