Scene about town

Yesterday, on the median at the corner of 53rd Street and "Avenue of the Cities" (still 23rd Ave. to me.) there was a man standing on the corner with a large hand-written sign saying, "Honk if gas prices are too high." I gave him a honk or two, though I didn't hear anyone else doing so.

This was just adjacent from a "Big 10 Mart" where prices went up $0.50 overnight. I don't know if that's what motivated his actions, but I thought it was pretty cool. (the guy caring enough to do something, NOT the station gouging people.)
