Bush administration priority on killing, not helping.

Read this.
At a fundamental level, I'd argue, our current leaders just aren't serious about some of the essential functions of government. They like waging war, but they don't like providing security, rescuing those in need or spending on preventive measures. And they never, ever ask for shared sacrifice.

Yesterday Mr. Bush made an utterly fantastic claim: that nobody expected the breach of the levees. In fact, there had been repeated warnings about exactly that risk.

So America, once famous for its can-do attitude, now has a can't-do government that makes excuses instead of doing its job. And while it makes those excuses, Americans are dying.
I'd note regarding Bush's refusal to ever ask for sacrifice, that his response to the current gas crisis was to tell people "Don't buy gas unless you need it." God, what a moron. OK, I was going to go out and pay $3-4.00 a gallon for gas I don't need, but I guess now I won't. And after 9-11 when the nation looked to this shallow dunce for guidance as to what they could do to help after the devastating attack, Bush told us to go shopping.

This is why millions felt the need to re-elect this moron, his "leadership"??

This country is in for a long difficult time of reckoning for our stupidity in our choice of leader.

I'm still waiting for Jerry Falwell to blame it on the homosexuals and the abortionists.

The right wing bloggers are simply evil. The only word to describe their rantings on this. As usual, they're blaming the victims, saying it's their fault for not being able to afford to leave.

At this point, WHAT THE HELL DOES IT MATTER??? They're simply evil and insane.

George W. Bush has not called for "shared sacrifice" because the only sacrifice with which he is familiar is mentioned in the Old Testament. He's probably thinking, "Why would we ask people to cut the heads off their children to solve a flood?" And I'm sure George W. is convinced that it was Isaac who was told to sacrifice Abraham, only to hear the cosmic "Psych!" from our jokester god.

George W.'s clownishness only serves to turn tragedy into travesty.
