Clydesdales to be displayed in Moline

If you're a Bud man (or woman) or simply a fan of enormous and beautiful horses, downtown Moline is the place to be Friday.
The Budweiser Clydesdales will be in downtown Moline from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.

They will arrive in the Moline city parking lot north of Bier Stube on 15th Street at 4 p.m., then begin touring the downtown at 5 p.m. before returning to the parking lot.

The public is invited to attend the event, hosted by Moline Centre Partners. Entertainment will include face painting for kids, a fun jump, caricatures, a live remote from B100, and strolling magician Mark Yeager.
It was not reported who gets to clean up after them, though Mayor Welvaert could burnish his image by doing so.

Funny Anon! I heard that Stan and Don Welvert used to go on their little sissie trips together.
I think it was love at first sight!!
Stan Leach, who was never a person that had much back bone liked having people around that would kiss his ass. Don Welvart was more than happy to accomadate!!

All I know is that Mayor welvert will have to get a shovel to dig himself out of the impending tax mess he has created and has to live with and pay for next time he is on a ballot.

Higher taxes are not something he will be forgiven for in Moline and he knows it. He hopes that everyone thinks it's Stan Leach doing the tax raising not Welvert.

Stay tuned folks and see Welvert get punched around a bit soon. Should be pretty fun to watch how he tries to dance around the subject too.

I removed the above comment due to it's containing a serious accusation of a personal nature without any substantiation. This is not the place for such personal accusations.

Sadly anon - O'Brien lost the election to W who appears tobe brain dead from what little I have seen of Welvert our new mayor.

And with that election and the loss of O'Brien on Council, the citizens lost a true voice for the people - you know - the ones paying the bills with their tax dollars? I think that Welvert is forgetting about who he works for - it's not Deere, it's the taxpayers - the ones he's getting ready to stick it to very soon with a higher tax bill......
