Thanks for that info. The Black Hawk College Democrats are a very active and effective organization and are certainly worthy of some support.

Speaking of the Black Hawk College Dems, what a great crew. I attended their chili supper tonight and discovered that they are just about $1800 short of what they need to get to Washington, D.C.

Please fellow citizens of the QCs, it's time to dig deeply into your pockets and help this great young crew achieve their wishes on this one!

That O'Brien has a lot of class. He knows what to put his energy into and when it's worth fighting a battle and looks like he decided this was not one of those types of fights. Hope he runs again for office and wins handily. The republicans should be worried about this kid......

One hopes that after a reasonable period of time to wash the grime of the campaign out of his system, O'Brien will find a way to serve the city in some capacity. Agree with him or not, he was a much needed voice of opposition to an otherwise rubber-stamp government which seemed far too skewed towards business interests and big box development at the expense of neighborhoods in the city.
