It's official: Bush war has killed more Americans than 9-11 attack

The US military announced the deaths of seven more soldiers yesterday, bringing the American military death toll since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003 to at least 2,978 — five more than the number killed in the September 11 attacks.

The milestone came with a military announcement that three soldiers had been killed on Monday.

Another three died yesterday in roadside bombings near Baghdad, and one was killed in a vehicle rollover.

At least 2,377 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military’s figures.

what exactly is the point of this number?

Is it to say Bush himself has killed more people than the terrorists? Is it to celebrate the deaths of American citizens and soldiers?

Are you happy about this number?

I just don't get what posting this number is supposed to mean or say!

I was watching Bob Shcefer of CBS interviewing Laura Bush right before Christmas. It was one of those kiss ass Christmas feel good interviews [does Rupert Murdoch own CBS?, I wonder because 60 minutes did a valentine to the Redneck, right wing 'get er done, cable guy] any way ,I digress,
The reporters always have to remind George and Laura, our beloved first couple about the troops in Iraq.
Would you like to thank the troops that are away from there familes?
Oh yeah!
Do you think about them all the time?
Oh yeah, I think about them all the time!
