AARP site provides info on candidates stance on issues

The AARP or American Association for Retired Persons has launched a helpful website which allows people to find what information is available to determine where various candidates stand on the issues. You may have seen the TV ads for their eye-catching name for this effort, "Don't Vote", with the catch phrase that you shouldn't vote until you know where politicians stand on issues important to you.

This is a novel idea, sadly, as many people have vote for candidates on the basis of one hot-button social issue while being totally ignorant of their stances on other issues which would likely change the voter's mind if not give them second thoughts.

The page on Illinois is here, and Iowa, here.

The main page can be accessed here.

The only problem with this site is it has incumbent Lane Evans vs. challenger Phil Hare.
