Pal, asparagus is a good guess, but the bud looks a lot like wheat. It also flowers... so I don't think it's asparagus, though I wish it was...
I'll have to put up a shot that shows the flowers better.
A couple interesting things about asparagus, if you plant some, you shouldn't harvest any for three years to allow the root system to develop. Also, under ideal conditions, asparagus can grow as much as 12 inches in one day.
And after the spears are picked the plant grows into ferns with red berries.

Looks like a dandelion. It also looks like you have a better camera than I do.
The first photo looks like wild asparagus. Don't know about the other----I'll have to wait until Mr. Greenjeans gets home.
