It was cool to see Jacobs run above the "Consensus Dope" poll which pegged him at 54%. Jacobs ran 57.73%.

Jacobs carried Carroll 76.99% to 23.01%. Mercer gave Jacobs a simliar number although not as one sided. Jacobs credited rural voters with his higher than expected margine of victory.
