any totals for the other counties in the 36th district?
Results for various counties can be found HERE
So is Grchan going to run as an independant? Is there a GOP candidate for sheriff?
Jacobs 57%
Rumler 43%
After a hard look at the numbers it was decided that jbc was worth 50 votes to Rumler and the Dope was worth 112 votes congratulations. A lot of work for very little gain.
Congratulations on a solid Democrat victory.

Now THAT'S funny!
I'd love to know just what method you used to come to those exact vote counts. haha!
Obviously, short of some focused poll or something, taking a wild-ass guess as to what, if any, effect blogs had on this election would be the best anyone could do.
And I hate to break it to you, but your assumption that there was some sort of "work" involved in trying to achieve some certain result just couldn't possibly be more wrong.
I find it especially funny that you use the word "gain", as if the results of this primary has any effect whatsoever on me or the blog.
Trying to make it sound as if I "worked" to get votes for Rumler and didn't get many is pretty damn funny in one respect, but it's not too funny if you or anyone else actually believes that.
Think about it. What the hell would myself (or "jbc", whoever that is) possibly gain by the primary results being one way or the other? It simply makes no difference.
There's no "gain", or loss for that matter, to me or the blog no matter what the results happened to be.
It was just a primary election. I imagine there'll be more of them.
My goal wasn't to try to cause Jacobs to lose or Rumler to win. (as if I could!) It was to express my opinions, fight back against creeps and goons, and to protest and expose bullshit and what I consider pretty low and dishonest actions and tactics.
If it was Rumler and his supporters behaving that way or doing the things that were done, I would have banged on them just as hard.
Well maybe not QUITE as hard. After all, it seems even more objectionable to me when the Goliath campaign feels the need to go ugly, even though they're armed with a bazooka against an opponent with a pea-shooter.
But judging by the showing Rumler made, maybe the Jacobs camp were right to get kind of freaked out and slightly desperate there.
You constantly assign ulterior selfish or political motives to me because you simply can't imagine anyone not having the same selfish goals and selfish motivations as you.
And maybe you simply can't believe that someone would go to the time effort and expense I do and put up with the crap I do without anything to gain from it, or at least not money, power, or political gain.
Well, think again.
I just like to talk with people, hear what they think, hear their ideas, bounce things back and forth and hopefully learn something from it, maybe find someone who knows how to make a good argument and mix it up, give someone a laugh, and, if I'm lucky, maybe make people think about things in a new or different way.
But I have only a rooting interest in how your fights turn out. I'm not invested in it as if it's a matter of life or death. To tell the truth, I am always stunned when people behave as if it is.
I feel the same way today that I did yesterday. Nothing's changed, I'm disapointed in the results, not the Jacobs/Rumler race, but I'm sorry that Grchan lost, and I'm bummed out that the Black Hawk measure failed.
But regardless, life goes on.
So does anyone think Grchan will run independent? I can think of a few Republicans who would be happy to vote for him.
Not true what you say about Rumler. I sent you a couple of things regarding his campaign and you wouldn't post them. Seemed to me you were taking sides. A friend of mine emailed you about it and your response was a joke. You seem to have an agenda here and I won't be commenting anymore. Hell, maybe I won't even read.

If your comment wasn't posted it was most likely due to the fact that you were trying to state something against a candidate which had already been dismissed or debunked.
Believe what you want about whether I was fair or not. As to your friend, if my reply was a "joke" then why didn't they respond? I've only gotten a few complaints about comments not being published and I imagine your "friend" was one of them. They didn't provide the content of their comments so obviously I had no way to respond as to exactly why they were rejected. I told them to try again. Is that a "joke"?
Sorry you're leaving. I don't know how we'll get by without you.
