Dispatch/Argus endorses Mowen
In addition to it's endorsement of Mike Jacobs, the Dispatch also has endorsed Jim Mowen in the Republican primary to face Lane Evans.
Mowen is a fundamentalist Christian who as reported on his website wants to criminalize abortion, supports drilling for oil in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge, is pro guns, pro-war, wants to make the tax cuts for the very wealthy which has strained our economy to the breaking point permanent and could reliably be expected to support the extreme policies of the far right fundamentalist wing of the Republican party.
Congatulations to both Mowen and Jacobs for their plumb Dispatch/Argus endorsements.

I was thinking about subscribing to the Dispatch and dumping my subscription to the QC Times, but now I'm not so sure.
I have to wonder if the D/A editors have confused their job in selecting who to endorse with simply trying to pick who they think will win rather than who they think would do the best job for their constituents.
