Finally! I sooooo very tired of all this BS from the local senate race. It's a nasty day outside but I'm still going to the polls.

Nasty day or not it is time to put up or shut up. I for one am an AFSCME member who is going to vote for the right person not the union line. I can think for myself I do not need someone making my mind up for me.

Already voted. Roads are great no problems at the poll. Walks and parking areas at the polls salted and clear also.

The roads are fine, I already voted for Jacobs twice.

Ah yes, once and for all, this Rumler/Jacobs bashing can finally end. I for one am happy we can toss this topic aside and the Dope can go on to bigger and better things. I'm assuming Jacobs will win 56 % to 44% and the Huff/Gerchan race is going to be a lot closer than what people are estimating. Unfortunatley for this homie, I was unable to obtain an absentee ballot in time to vote, and with being away from the area, I finally missed an election for once. On another note, I hope the Republican party plays smart and picks Gilligand to represent them in the congressional race in November. Ha.

Can I say I called this or what? An exact 56% to 44% result for the Jacobs/Rumler race and the Huff/Gerchan race was as close as I expected. What a night...too bad I didn't do as well in my March Madness pool.

Prediction results will be announced once solid result numbers are in.

If the contest were for Rock Island County only... predictor "UnionD" was the closest for Jacobs, Rumler, and Huff and was narrowly beaten out by .. ugh... anonymous on Grchan.

We will be bestowing suitable honors on the best predictors once complete results are known.
