the letter in the dispatch about Mike Jacobs...its a lie. He pushed for WIU money...got pennies...and we should be excited? Right. My son has another 2 years of high school and I would love nothing else if there was a 4 year public uni. for him to attend inthe QCA...but it isn't going to happen. Also, Jacobs stated that he wasn't disappointed about not getting money for WIU. Mike you are a foolish.

Lets talk about Lane!!!

Lane raised just over $130,000 in the 4th quarter of 2005 – only $1,260.00 was from th 17th!

By my count that is less than 1% from inside the 17th District!

Why isn't anyone from the District giveing to Lane????

Is it just me, or does anyone else thinks it's a sad commentary on life in the Quad Cities that the lead story of the day in all the local outlets is that a convicted murderer got a haircut? This is the most improtant thing happening in the QC's? What's tomorrow's headline, "Sarah Kolb pints her fingernails black?"
