Thank goodness things have not gotten as wierd as Doonesbury's imagination. Karl Rove being nominated for the Supreme Court would just be too sureal.
But Dave, too surreal for this administration? The one who promoted an absolute horrendous failure as National Security Advisor to be Secretary of State? The same administration that installs a former felon convicted of lying to congress in the Iran-Contra affair as chief of a sweeping new high-tech effort to snoop on the entire country?
That installed a religious zealot as chief law enforcer for the country? Put mining and lumber corporation lawyers in at top positions at the EPA, Bolton at the U.N., raving right wing radicals proposed for top judgeships?
The list goes on and on. Half the things they've already done would have been considered part of someone's fever dreams or a bad halluncination if someone had predicted them a few years ago.
Surreal is the new real under this regime.
