Reality starting to seep into public conciousness

From Altercation, Eric Alterman's blog on the MSNBC site:
The new ABC News/Washington Post poll, here, shows 52 percent of Americans disapprove of the job President Bush is doing overall, reports ABC News' Polling director Gary Langer — the most in more than 75 ABC/Post polls since his presidency began. His approval rating is 48 percent.

Bush's Iraq approval ratings haven't fared much better: 41 percent said they approve of the job the President is doing in Iraq, while 58 percent disapprove — matching his career-high Iraq disapproval mark.

George W. Bush’s approval rating is now a full twenty points lower than Bill Clinton’s was on the day he was impeached. Dear media, that means you gotta stop referring to him as a “popular president,” and no less important, stop treating him like one. If you want to be wimps about everything, fine, just don’t blame it on his ‘popularity.’ Blame it on yourselves.

News flash - Bush is not going to support the G8 again even though TOny Blair is asking him face to face. Bush can't even remember Blair's title. IN an audio clip he refers to him as Tony Blair - while Blair refers to Bush as Mr. President. How many of you know what the G8 is anyway?

It's Mr. Prime Minister George!!! Get the protocol right for a change.

I get so sick of W and his stupidity.

Try this one on next - US Sen. Barak Obama tells us on the radio this morning that the current Administration - BUSH - is slashing all money for AMTRACK. Which means we are not looking ahead about the energy needs of the future and consumption.

The Iraq war is so dam important to the texas oilmen - BUSH - that we continue to put our heads in the sand and buy SUV trucks and pay $2 or more a gallon for gas.

What will they do when the oil is all gone???

If today was re-wound back to the 1970s, maybe the media would cover some of this in a high profile way. Today, in 2005, only those who listen to NPR Radio (whose funds were slashed by Regan and Bush but they hang on and report news for us) can hear about the really important news.

We have no plan!!! We have no leadership!!! The Media does not care about anything except their own market share and how many newspapers and subscriptions they can sell with their pretty and folksy and sensationalized stories and drivel it out daily-- all the while making out the Iraq war to be some noble cause to protect our country------ Comon - it's about those dam oil fields - not terrorists!!!!! Wake up Americans and get wise to it.

What are these lazy ass media types afraid of? They are already being paid more than theyre worth.
How come no one ever talks about the Binladen -Bush family friendship?
Instead I turn on my TV Sunday night and Katie Couric is interviweing [and I'm dating myself now] Peggy Lipton from the MOD SQUAD. The topic was all of the famous people she had boinked to get to the top. Wow! Riveting news! Peggy Liptons a whore. WHO KNEW?!

Bush told Blair today he's not going to support the G8 to lower air emissions proposal.

No surprise here except his public statement that went something like this (paraphrased cause I can never understand his mumbling) 'we support this idea and the US is better at anti-emissions than anyone else we spend more money to study the issue than anyone and that's the best way to do things first you have to understand them and know about them'.

You get the gist. He's an idiot. He cares nothing about our planet and future generations. In 1000 years, the history books will record what a moron he was and how he did nothing progressive to reduce pollution in our air, water and lands in this country.

We need him OUT of office and someone else -- please someone who knows a little about global warming - definately not a texas oilman again!!
