Cub fan's amazing journey

Jeff Trigg of the RandomActsofKindness blog alerted me to this story. It's truly amazing and inspiring.

"Wild Bill" Holden saw "This Old Cub", a documentary about Ron Santo and was inspired to go to Chicago to see the Cubs play the Nationals on July 1st.

Bill lives in Arizona.

Bill is walking to Chicago.

Yes, to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes, this white-haired 56 year old with no cartiledge left in his knees is walking 2100 miles, all the way to Wrigley.

Bill is pretty short on his fund-raising goals and could use some help. For updates on his progress or to donate to the cause, visit This Old Cub.

ESPN has the story here.

Hope he's got tickets in his pocket already as they are getting harder and harder to buy unless he wants the standing room only type.

Just goes to show you what a determined Cub fan will do to get into a game.

Good luck Bill.
