Illinois QC Chamber goes to Springfield to push for WIU riverfront expansion
The Illinois QC Chamber of Commerce is off to buttonhole legislators in Springfield over the next two days in hopes of shaking the tree for more money for the Western Illinois University riverfront development in Moline and to discuss other priorities for the area.
Governor Blagojevich had proposed $1,549,000 for the project last year in addition to the $200,000 originally spent. The state has also promised $300,000 to add 6 people to the faculty.
It's projected it will require an additional $8 million to complete construction.

Seriously, if in your flipped out twisted imagination you can somehow think that my remark was in any way related to anyone but the person I specifically directed it towards, you're a freaking loon!
If you could read, you'd know that I had no idea who that was in the picture when I put it up. None. The only reason I put it up in the first place is that no one's face was showing and he couldn't be identified by anyone, except perhaps anyone that could recognize him from behind.
AND... I assumed that there was next to no chance that the gentleman himself would ever see this site. Hejust didn't look like the type that was on the information superhighway to me.
But a bunch of jerks-offs decided to take shots at me without EVER explaining what they were annoyed about. None of them had the character to contact me either here or in private by e-mail to let me know what their problem was.
So don't give me that "yet another slight" bullshit!

But I know it's just a slimy attempt to distort my motives for posting that picture.
For the third and last time, I had no idea of the identity of anyone in that picture, nor did I care. Someone sent me that picture and I thought it was hilarious. So sue me.
The only reason I pulled it down was that someone FINALLY told me (in a respectful way) that they felt it was unfair, and why, I immediately took care of it and it was down within seconds.
I won't tolerate goons who think they can try to bully me or intimidate me. It's a sure sign of a chump.
If you have something to say to me directly, then send me some e-mail. If you don't have the stones to do that, then keep your tough-guy BS to yourself.
There is obviously a group of people who have the intellect and standards of 8 year olds here, and they're really stinking up the joint.
While it will be incredibly difficult to refrain from responding to these chumps directly, I think the only proper response to such punk behavior is to just delete them when I see them from now on.
I don't want to allow them to wreck things for others who actually have something to say that's worth hearing. It's time to get rid of the riff-raff and let sane people have a chance.

Thanks. I appreciate that. Of course I felt badly once I knew the story. I had no way of knowing who it was in the picture or anything about them.
