After being warmly introduced by Mitt Romney, Coulter came out and during her remarks said,
"I was going to say something about John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot.’"
A commenter on this issue said it best, "Why is it that when a few anonymous posters on leftist blogs write something crazy or hateful, the pundits and editorialist condemn the entire Left as hateful, but when Ann Coulter and other professional hatemongers are invited back time and again to Republican gatherings and invited repeatedly to appear on cable talk shows, the pundits look the other way?
Liberal media…yeah, right."
And then there's the fact that there was an eruption of right wing outrage when Barack Obama (rightly) said that the lives of troops killed in Iraq were "wasted", yet barely a peep when John McCain used that EXACT SAME TERM to describe the loss of life in Iraq on Letterman.
Obama was forced to appologize. McCain simply said he should have used the term "sacrificed" instead. But there was only a fraction of the coverage or outrage that accompanied Obama's remark to an audience about a million times smaller than McCain's.
By the way, "Sacrifice" implies that something has been lost for a worthy goal. The lives of all troops killed were not squandered in some worthy cause.
Don't be stupid. Really, don't be stupid. Stop. Reread your comment. Does it make sense? Are you making something up out of thin air in order to attack me with it? Reading something into a post that's clearly not there or even implied? Then don't bother posting. For that matter, if that's the case, don't bother coming back.
