Ever had one of those days?

I just started a new job recently and I've been trying really hard to learn the ropes. But yesterday was just one of those days where nothing seemed to go right. And to make it worse, someone had a camera. You know how they say when things go wrong, they REALLY go wrong. This was one of those. I hate mustard!

I think things will get better. Someday I hope to make Assistant Manager.

Hey, at least I have my hair net on!

Sure, anything could fall out of my beard or my facial blemishes, and I might have introduced a few hundred million bacterium and virii by sticking my hand in the mustard jar up past my wrist, but I have my hair net on, so don't worry.

I just wish my co-workers would stop teasing me like a caged animal.

You gotta go see the movie 'Clerks II'. I hated the first Clerks movie. (Could be cuz the hubby brought it home to watch for a Thanksgiving I was sick as hell and asked him to pick out a "nice holiday movie" - yes that pic above is really a pic of my husband. How'd you get it?)

Clerks II is great, B+, 3 and a half stars, funny as hell. In France at the Canne Film Fest it received an 8 minute standing ovation. I almost did that after the Jackson 5 ABC dance number.

Ms. Voice...

That's surprising to hear. I have nothing against movies which are just plain stupid and silly. I loved all the Police Squad movies with Leslie Neilsen for example, and I confess I found Beavis and Butthead routinely hilarious.

One of my favorite comedies was "The Jerk" with Steve Martin, and that movie is nothing but dumb stuff all the way through (but hilarious as hell)

I normally never bother to go see what I consider "duuuude" movies of the type like "Clerks" or various stoner flix and others aimed at a young demographic which seems to revolve around crotch kicking, bodily function gags and doing stupid stuff while the characters are either high or just stone cold dumb.

But coming from you, I'll keep "Clerks II" in mind. From the tiny clips I've seen in commercials, the characters do seem like they just might work.

Thanks for the tip.

Clerks is one of my all-time favorite movies. I don't know if I'd put it in the same categories as Naked Gun or Airplane and I'd certainly never put it anywhere near the stupid crap like Scary Movie, etc that they're putting out today. I think anyone who has had to work a crap job (read: most of us) would *love* Clerks. The dialogue can be filthy, and there are a lot of what Kevin Smith calls "dick and fart jokes", but the movie really does have a point. So if you haven't given the original a try, I'd suggest renting it.

Why are you making fun of the people that work in the service indsudry? Someone has to do it? Not everyone can drive around BMW's and live in Wildwood like you.
