Probably ruined his whole weekend.
A man whose van crashed into a concrete barrier Sunday morning on the Kennedy Expressway was seriously injured after he climbed out of his window and was struck by a car in the express lanes, according to police.
The driver apparently lost control of his van at about 2:30 a.m., said Illinois State Trooper Dominick Falcone.
Leaving the crash site, the driver walked into a nearby express lane, where he was hit, Falcone said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
A passenger, also in serious condition, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Falcone said.
