You're the gay governor, right?

Anyone else happen to catch Governor Blagojevich on The Daily Show last night? (Thurs.)

I didn't know he was going to be on, but suddenly there he was, as part of one of their patented spoof interviews where the subject isn't in on the joke.

I didn't recognize the comedian doing the interview though.

In the intro, the guy stumbled over Blago's name a few times and then just called him "Governor Smith."

At one point, the interviewer says, "You're the gay governor, right?"
Blago replies that he's married with kids, but the interviewer continues to act skeptical, giving him a raised eyebrow, and asking, "You sure?".

Pretty funny stuff, though it makes you wonder why anyone would agree to do it, as they just use the subjects as foils and heavily edit the thing for humor.

The clip may be posted at the show's site, though it's not up as yet.

The clip is now available here.

The Chicago Sun-Times has a short account.

Did I read this correctly?? That our wonderful Guv Blago is not supportive of the morning after pill being legally given out to patients who hold a prescription? This after Illinois has said it will be offerred legally in the pharmacies in our state?

And we have some people exactly like the pharmacy owner on that show who are going to refuse to give the prescription even if it's breaking the current laws on the books.

Talk about inserting religion into government.... Is anyone going to be held accountable for these actions? Will anyone take on the Guv for it? Will any pharmacists be arrested for breaking the law if they don't give out the legally written prescription to the patient??

Someone didn't do their homework before booking Guv Blago onto this show and I bet he is handing them their a----s right now.
