Devine mulls entering IL gubenatorial primary, more background on Eisendrath

A post on Rich Miller's Capitol Fax asks whether Edwin Eisendrath has a shot against Rod Blagojevich is attracting a flurry of comments. It also cites a Sun-Times column discussing Eisendrath which also notes talk that Cook County States Attorney Richard Devine is considering jumping into the race as well.
At least one other Chicagoan is considering a run at Blagojevich. Cook County States Attorney Richard Devine has not ruled out a challenge to the first-term governor, whom he is investigating with Attorney General Lisa Madigan in an appointments-for-contributions probe.

Chicago station WLS TV has a piece on Eisendrath as well.

And Archpundit prefers Devine.

  1. I'm going to a Cook County drug prosecution on Tuesday. The defendent is connected. If Devine prosecutor doesn't throw the book at the guy, I'm gonna make a stink about it.

Ya'll know me. I'm no Blagojevich fan, but if Devine is covering for connected drug dealers, he's gonna be more "business as usual".

Don't be stupid. Really, don't be stupid.
Stop. Reread your comment. Does it make sense?
Are you making something up out of thin air in order to attack me with it? Reading something into a post that's clearly not there or even implied?
Then don't bother posting. For that matter, if that's the case, don't bother coming back.
