Rep. Ed Fallon, a Democrat, and Bob Vander Plaats, a Republican, have announced plans to run for governor. U.S. Rep. Jim Nussle and Secretary of State Chet Culver are also considering running for office.
[The poll] asked Iowans about the four likely candidates -- and only two people could name a candidate for the state's top job. Those two named Fallon and Vander Plaats.
The poll results showed 46 percent of voters favored Nussle. Vander Plaats came in at 23 percent, Culver at 21 percent and Fallon at 8 percent.
Publius, who runs the excellent Iowa Matters blog, has a piece on "bagman" Nussle here.

Don't be stupid. Really, don't be stupid.
Stop. Reread your comment. Does it make sense?
Are you making something up out of thin air in order to attack me with it? Reading something into a post that's clearly not there or even implied?
Then don't bother posting. For that matter, if that's the case, don't bother coming back.
