Topinka says she may make Rod reel.

State Treasurer Judy Baar Topinka said Monday she is considering a run for governor after commissioning a poll that showed her 3 percentage points behind in a matchup with Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

  1. It's been pretty plain that Topinka wanted to run for the top job. She's not been shy about using state funds to raise her profile, such as when she suddenly launched a flurry of "public service" ads touting tuition aid during the campaign for treasurer, or her recent "tour" posing as a business Santa Clause going around the state bringing gifts of millions to supposed tech businesses.     After all, she's the only surviving Republican in a state constitutional office.
    She certainly could give Rod a run for his money, though her poll results, gone into in more detail in recent posts at Capitol Fax, don't look as rosy when you take a closer look.

Are you making something up out of thin air in order to attack me with it? Reading something into a post that's clearly not there or even implied?
