There has been considerable outrage and efforts to mobilize against the recent attempt to limit debate and thereby hasten the passage of a legislative package that was in large part written by the credit card companies, payday and title loan companies, and sub-prime lenders. The details are appalling, and Paul Krugman in the New York Times does his usual excellent job laying out the situation. Read it. You need to be aware of this.
