Arizona Sen. John McCain has scheduled a visit to Iowa to campaign for Jim Nussle, who is seeking the Republican nomination for governor.
McCain will be the featured speaker at a Cedar Rapids luncheon on April 13 to raise money for Nussle.
"I am pleased to have the opportunity to visit Iowa and campaign for Rep. Jim Nussle," McCain said in a statement released today by Nussle's campaign.

McCain to stump for Nussle

Don't be stupid. Really, don't be stupid.
Stop. Reread your comment. Does it make sense?
Are you making something up out of thin air in order to attack me with it? Reading something into a post that's clearly not there or even implied?
Then don't bother posting. For that matter, if that's the case, don't bother coming back.
Dammit John...
ReplyDeleteLooks like someone's pandering to the far right of his party so they caucus for him in a few years.. Doesn't he realize Frist or someone else the fundies are more comfortable with will swift boat his ass in 2008 again?
McCain is one of the few republicans I like. In the right situation I could even see myself voting for him in 2008. He's not helping himself out much with the huge number of moderate democrats who like him when he supports a right-wing ass like Nussle, or when he meddles in another state's politics.
I agree with the above. McCain quickly loses any semblance of "independence" when he campaigns in Iowa for strong right-winger, budget-busting Jim Nussle.
