Original concept drawing of Rock River bridge revealed

I almost wish they'd have stuck with it.

This is actually an old postcard I found. Was this bridge located where the 19th 27th St. bridge currently is? The caption reads "Moline High Bridge over Rock River, Moline, Ill.

  1. Dope, not sure but I think the old stone peds for this bridge are still somewhere on the rock but not in the location of the current Memorial Bridge in Moline on 27th Street (not on 19th Street) -- common mistake made in geography in Moline.

  2. Thanks for the catch. I do get confused about that 19th-27th stuff.

Anyone know where the remains of this bridge are?

Don't be stupid. Really, don't be stupid.
Stop. Reread your comment. Does it make sense?
Are you making something up out of thin air in order to attack me with it? Reading something into a post that's clearly not there or even implied?
Then don't bother posting. For that matter, if that's the case, don't bother coming back.
