  2. I trust Lane Evans. I respect him and what he has to say. So I will support Peterson. You can't know every candidate so you must follow guiding lights like Lane Evans!

  3. what about our local candidate, Judge Wright? Any local Dems supporting her? That would be a good thing to see. Judge Peterson has sewed up Congressman Evans, and Senator Mike Jacobs and Representative Vershoore. Who is Representative Boland supporting?

  4. Judge Wright is an excellent candidate. From what I've seen of her rulings and respect for the rights of everyone, not just the rich and connected, I'd say she'd be an excellent choice for appellate court judge.

But as usual, the machine will likely triumph... the fix is in, and if you're not the one, or you haven't kissed the right behinds, I suppose you're sunk as a candidate.

But... the voters still have independence, thankfully. Not even the machine can force people to vote for someone once they're at the ballots. Maybe people will make an informed choice rather than accepting the myth that those who endorse candidates actually make those endorsements based on who they believe is most qualified.

The fact is, these endorsements have nothing to do with who the endorser feels is best, but only who the party is chosing to back, and the reasons for that have nothing to do with qualifications.

  5. In this case, Congressman Lane Evans decided to support Judge Lance Peterson after reading about his extensive writing and legal work with the Illinois Supreme Court. Peterson has an extensive legal and judicial background that must have caught Lane Evans' eye.

  6. Doesn't hurt that all the big PACs are behind Lance either.....

Doubtful there was any other reason.

Don't be stupid. Really, don't be stupid.
Stop. Reread your comment. Does it make sense?
Are you making something up out of thin air in order to attack me with it? Reading something into a post that's clearly not there or even implied?
Then don't bother posting. For that matter, if that's the case, don't bother coming back.
