What's your opinion of the new font for posts? I'm trying to make things a bit more legible and distinct. Tell me if it's an improvement or if it sucks.
Thanks people. I kind of liked the Courier New that was up this morning. I liked that it looks like an old typewriter, but you're right, it just didn't work in this format. And if I made it smaller, it gets kind of indistinct.
I'm hoping to find something that's more easily readable than the default font, which was pretty tough to see and read.
HAHA.. well, you were witness to my experiments, eh? Unfortunately, there's really no good way to see how things look without going through the publishing process and putting it up here. Hell, it took me hours to find the tiny place in pages of code that controlled the font for the posts, and then I had to create it from scratch. I'm such a hack that it's a wonder I even got it to work. I guess I'll hang with the Times font for now. No howls of protest or freak-outs from die-hard sans serif fans. ha!
Don't be stupid. Really, don't be stupid. Stop. Reread your comment. Does it make sense? Are you making something up out of thin air in order to attack me with it? Reading something into a post that's clearly not there or even implied? Then don't bother posting. For that matter, if that's the case, don't bother coming back.
it's plenty legible, but it sux. Just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteWith only one comment so far, I think I agree with fly.
ReplyDeleteI wish this Courier New font would work, but it doesn't.
I'll try Times. Any better? Worse?
(I feel like an eye doctor, "Better now? Or now?"
The one I'm looking at right now seems fine by me. :)

If by "old style" you refer to the original typeface, I don't like that at all. It's faint, and too hard for me (at least) to read.
ReplyDeleteI'll try a sans serif... maybe Tahoma or Arial and see if that pleases people.
